We recommend using either Netscape Navigator TM (version 6.0 or higher) or Microsoft Internet Explorer TM (version 6.0 or higher) to access Online Banking. If you use another type of browser, you may not be able to access Online Banking or your connection may not be as secure. You may download either one now. Click below on the one you want to download and follow the instructions. Please note, Netscape is non-compatible with eCorp.
Whenever you make use of our online banking or online loan application systems as a National Bank of Middlebury customer, we are concerned about the security of your personal financial information. We therefore incorporate a technology known as encryption into our website to make sure that your data is completely secure.
Specifically, when you access either of these two systems from our Web site, your browser and our site will switch to a secure mode. This is evident by the "https" that will appear in the URL (or web address) as opposed to "http." If you are using Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator you will see a locked padlock at the bottom of your screen when you are in a secure mode, and an unlocked padlock when you are in an insecure mode.
Online Banking/eCorp uses 128-bit encryption through VeriSign. You may click on the "VeriSign Secure Site Seal" on the Online Banking/eCorp screens if you wish to verify that our 128-bit encryption Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol is functioning properly with your browser.
When you submit your personal financial data via our online loan application system, your data is stored briefly in a database on our web server using 128-bit encryption, then the data is downloaded by our loan officers. Once our staff has verified that your data has downloaded properly, it is deleted from the web server. From that point forward, your data only resides in internal files at the National Bank of Middlebury.
